Building Community with Cooking Classes at CFB Esquimalt
Join Chef Laura Moore from the Good For You Gourmet in the CFB kitchen for community building cooking lessons. Each class covers introduction to knife care & skills, hands on participation with preparation, cooking and presentation of the menu, and students enjoy the meal they’ve made in class, in the on site dining room. All equipment and food ingredients will be provided. Simply bring your excitement and appetite!
Class #2: Spelt Crust Pizza, Thursday March 23, 2017, 6-8 PM
Curious about cooking with heritage grains? Learn how to make ancient grain Spelt flour personal pan pizza in this fun interactive hands on workshop, led by whole foods personal Chef Laura Moore. Student learn the simple secret of super organic pizza sauce, and assemble their own personal pizza crust in class. Topped with organic cow milk mozzarella, and choice of Meat Lovers with local/cured meats, or Vegetarian, with roasted seasonal vegetables. Pizza will be served with Greek Salad on the side, and spelt flour Chocolate Zucchini brownies with coconut ice cream for dessert, for a full meal.

Served with Greek Salad, w/feta, olives and homemade organic olive oil dressing.
Dessert: Spelt flour based Chocolate Zucchini Brownies with Coconut Ice Cream
